When I was a child, I spake as a child,
I understood as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away
childish things. For now we see through a
glass, darkly; but then face to face: now
I know in part; but then shall I know even
as also I am known.

Conviction is virtuous, blind faith is not.
Find a belief that extends further than your scrutinizing eye and it will lead you to the pinnacles only the convictional ever see.
Is not blind faith just a more ignorant version of conviction? It should have the same level of respect as the other as they both beleive in the same thing, just with different levels of authority.
Conviction is one's capacity to see something through to the best of their ability. Blind faith is conviction with allowances given to caveats that contradict what is being believed.
Conviction acknowledges and re-evaluates based upon these caveats, blind faith ignores them.
